Our take

Psychoterratica III is for the person who wants a forest floor rendered in resin and stone. Jorum Studio presents a composition where black pepper and grapefruit meet cardamom and juniper without following a predictable path. Elemi resin and rose sit beside clary sage, while myrrh and frankincense share space with guaiac wood and oud. Patchouli, moss, labdanum, and balsam fir complete a list that reads like a catalog of the earthy and the sacred. The result is aromatic, woody, fresh spicy, amber, warm spicy, balsamic, citrus, earthy, mineral, and mossy all at once.

This is not a polished, crowd-pleasing scent. It feels dense and slightly abrasive, with a mineral edge that keeps the sweetness of the amber and balsam fir in check. Euan McCall composed a fragrance that leans into the shadowed side of nature rather than its bright meadows. It suits someone who enjoys smelling distinct and unapologetic, who prefers a scent that feels like a personal statement rather than a pleasant background. Those who want a clean, soapy, or transparent perfume should look elsewhere, as this wears its complexity openly.

The atmosphere is quiet and cold, suited to a walk under bare branches when the air bites and the ground is damp. It carries a weight that feels appropriate when the sky is dark and the world is still. The resinous woods and moss create a texture that feels ancient and grounded. You stand in a clearing where the trees are tall and the resin has dripped onto the grey stones below.
