Reflections
Fragrance notes
Character
Reflections opens with a bright mix of ylang-ylang, freesia, and pineapple. The pineapple adds a juicy, slightly tart edge to the yellow florals, keeping the start from feeling heavy. As the fragrance develops, the heart reveals jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, tuberose, and peach. The tuberose is creamy and prominent, while the peach lends a soft, rounded fruitiness that blends into the white floral bouquet. The lily-of-the-valley contributes a gentle green touch that prevents the heart from becoming overly dense.
The base combines patchouli, musk, almond, and sugar. The sugar and almond create a distinct gourmand sweetness that sits beneath the florals, while the patchouli adds a woody, earthy contrast. The musk softens the drydown and ties the sweeter elements to the floral structure. Throughout the wear, the scent remains firmly in the floral fruity gourmand family, with the sweetness increasing as the fresher top notes recede.
The composition feels suited to a bright, sunlit morning where its cheerful floral and fruity facets can shine. The main limitation is the synthetic quality of the peach and pineapple notes, which can feel a bit sharp and artificial against the creamier tuberose and almond.
