The Thicket
Fragrance notes
Character
Morning light hits the edge of a wooden porch where someone has just peeled a sweet orange. The rind oil mingles with crushed basil leaves and a bright squeeze of lemon and bergamot. It is a clean, awake opening that feels like stepping outside after rain. Clove and lavender soon drift from a nearby planter, softened by a whisper of jasmine that never takes over. The aromatic herbs keep the citrus grounded, steering it away from a simple breakfast table and toward something more deliberate. Tonka bean adds a gentle warmth that begins to pull the air in a different direction.
The air settles into a deeper corner where vanilla and benzoin coat the wood in a golden, resinous layer. Leather appears not as a sharp jacket but as a worn saddle blanket warmed by the sun. Brazilian rosewood and sandalwood lend a dry, polished grain to the sweetness, while amber hums underneath like late afternoon heat trapped in the boards. Orris brings a powdery hush that smooths the spice and keeps the vanilla from feeling heavy. The scene stays there, the scent wrapping around the porch rails and the dust in the air, the leather and amber folding into the citrus that still lingers near the floorboards
