Fragrance notes
Character
Incense and myrrh rise first, thick and resinous. Opoponax adds a golden, slightly bitter glow that keeps the opening from feeling flat.
Caramel sits beside Texas cedar and cypriol, lending a sticky warmth to the dry woods. Sandalwood rounds the edges so the sweetness never feels sharp.
Haitian vetiver and two ouds anchor the base, heavy and earthy. Ambergris and musk give a salty, animalic lift that prevents the woods from turning dull.
The caramel can feel synthetic against the resins, and the smoke is dense enough to overwhelm lighter wardrobes. It suits a cold evening street, lit by shop windows, but it asks for someone comfortable with weight.
