Our take

Fleurs Blanches does not ease the wearer in. The opening jasmine and citrus hit at once, bright and a little sharp, with the mandarin orange leaning more zest than juice. Tuberose takes over fast in the heart, heavy and waxy, and the elemi adds a resinous edge that keeps the lilies from feeling fresh. It is a dense white floral, not a breezy one, and the amber and vanilla in the base push it further toward warmth than lightness. The cedar and sandalwood give some structure, but the powdery accord softens every edge until the whole composition sits close and still.

The animalic facet is subtle but present, curling around the sweeter notes so the vanilla never smells flat. This is a scent for someone who likes a floral that carries weight and a trace of skin. It fits a dinner where the room is warm and the lighting low, or a winter evening when the air outside is cold enough to make the amber feel necessary. A collector who reaches for bold white florals will find something familiar here, arranged with a slightly old-fashioned hand.
