Our take

Bergamot and orange shine briefly at the start, touched by aldehydes that give the entrance a bright, slightly shimmering lift. The spices arrive fast. Cloves and cinnamon take the lead, while jasmine, rose, and ylang-ylang soften the edges without cooling the heat.

The base is where Amun settles and stays. Amber and vanilla meet patchouli and sandalwood, then labdanum, Siam benzoin, and tolu balsam add a resinous weight that feels thick and slightly powdery. The cinnamon from the heart lingers here, now wrapped in balsamic warmth instead of fresh air. It suits a quiet street after sunset, a coat pulled close against a cool breeze, the kind of night when warm drinks and amber light make sense. There is a comfort to it, but also a heaviness that asks for stillness rather than movement.

Ylang-ylang and rose keep the drydown from feeling too dry, letting the vanilla and benzoin lean sweet without crossing into candy. The result is a warm spicy, amber, woody, powdery, cinnamon, balsamic, patchouli accord.
