Our take

Rephase builds Bloom Café as a late-night walk through a city that refuses to sleep. The opening hits with amber, apricot, grapes, lemon, bergamot and grapefruit all at once. It is bright and heavy at the same time, a fruit bowl placed under a warm lamp. The citrus gives a quick lift, but the amber underneath pulls everything downward into something richer. This is not a morning shower scent. It feels like stepping onto a sidewalk when the streetlights have just flickered on and the air carries the heat of the day mixed with expensive skin.

The heart turns the corner with almond, ambergris, jasmine, rose, cinnamon and roasted coffee beans. The coffee note is dry and dark, not sugary, and the almond gives it a soft, nutty texture. Cinnamon adds a gentle heat that never becomes sharp. Jasmine and rose sit in the background, adding a floral haze that keeps the composition from feeling too dense. The powdery accord settles in here, giving the whole thing a vintage touch that feels intentional rather than accidental. It is a scent that belongs in a dim room with low music.

Vanilla, guaiac wood, musk and patchouli carry the base with a woody, musky weight. The vanilla is calm and pairs with the powdery notes to create a soft finish that lingers on fabric and skin. Bloom Café suits someone who enjoys a gourmand that does not act like candy, and it will feel out of place on a person who only wears crisp, clean linens. It is the scent of a velvet booth in a café that stays open long after the last train has left the station.
