Character
A stone cabin sits near a stand of spruce, the air cool enough that the heat of the sun lingers only on the wood walls. Someone steps inside and crushes a sprig of rosemary under their fingers, the sharp green scent mixing with the dry resin already soaked into the beams. White pepper adds a brief sparkle, while bergamot and petitgrain keep the entrance bright and clean. The room smells of earth and needle, a space where nothing feels polished or arranged for display.
Black spruce deepens the air, joined by galbanum and oakmoss that tug the atmosphere toward damp soil and shaded ground. Labdanum and elemi settle into the corners, their resinous weight pulling the green notes into something heavier and more rooted. The pepper fades, leaving a texture that feels more like bark than flower, more like resin than sugar, though a faint vanilla thread runs beneath the heavier materials to keep the sharpness from turning too dry.
Myrrh and oud press into the wood, patchouli adding a dark earthiness that anchors the entire space. Black musk and amber xtreme push the resinous warmth further, while labdanum returns from the heart to thicken the air. The vanilla is present but buried under resin and smoke, a sweetness that never gets the chance to rise, the room continuing to fill with heavy wood and dry
