Metallic Oud
Fragrance notes
Character
Metallic Oud opens with a bright mix of pear, raspberry, lemon, and orange, softened by the resinous touch of elemi and the dry heat of saffron. The fruit is sweet but not sugary, and the citrus keeps the start from feeling heavy. Pink pepper and pepper add a mild bite, while violet and orange blossom sit beside Bulgarian rose to form a floral heart that feels powdery and rounded. Amber appears early and stays through the middle, giving the composition a warm, golden tone that ties the flowers to the wood beneath them.
The base rests on Laotian oud and cedar, with patchouli, oakmoss, fir, Madagascar vetiver, and musk supporting them. The oud is present without dominating, and the cedar keeps the texture dry. Vetiver and oakmoss add a green, earthy shade, while musk smooths the edges. The scent stays near the body and does not push outward across a large space, yet the blend remains perceptible for a good portion of the day once applied to skin or clothing.
This fragrance suits someone who enjoys rose and amber carried by real wood rather than a loud, diffusive trail. It works well for evening plans, formal dinners, or any setting where a warm, floral wood feels appropriate without overwhelming the room.
