The morning sun hits the terrace tiles and the air feels warm already. A slice of pineapple sits on a plate next to a glass of cold bergamot drink, the black currant and apple adding a crisp, juicy brightness to the table. The fruit is loud and cheerful, a quick greeting before the day settles into its slower rhythm.
Juniper berries bring a cool, resinous edge that cuts through the initial sugar. Birch adds a dry, slightly charred woodiness, while patchouli grounds the heart with an earthy depth. Jasmine floats above it all, soft and slightly indolic, preventing the greens from feeling too sharp.
The drydown is where Tysir truly lives. Musk and ambergris create a smooth, salty skin feel that wraps around the oakmoss. That mossy note is damp and forest-like, a stark contrast to the sunny opening. Vanilla tries to sweeten the finish, but the oakmoss and birch refuse to let it become a dessert. It is a fragrance of damp woods and salty air, sitting heavily on the skin while the sun stays high.
The limitation here is the synthetic edge. The pineapple and apple lack the natural juice of the real fruit, and the vanilla in the base feels a bit plastic against the moss. It is a beautiful idea that stumbles slightly in the execution, leaving a chemical trace that distracts from the natural woods.
