Wild Fig
Fragrance notes
Character
Wild Fig is a daytime companion for the person who wants fruit without candy. The opening pairs cassis and bergamot with petitgrain, a bright start that feels like walking past a market stall in the morning. Lily-of-the-valley and peach soften the fig in the heart, keeping the mood gentle rather than heavy.
The base explains why this works before noon. Galbanum and oakmoss pull the sweetness toward green earth, while Virginia cedar adds a dry wood that never overwhelms. Tonka bean rounds the edges, but the chypre structure keeps the profile grounded and adult.
DSH Perfumes built this with Dawn Spencer Hurwitz at the helm, and the composition shows a clear hand. It is fruity and aromatic, yet the accords list also includes fresh spicy and earthy facets that keep it from leaning too far into dessert. The result smells natural and composed.
Wear it on a weekend morning when the windows are open and the day is unhurried. It fits the gardener who enjoys a peach in one hand and a handful of green leaves in the other, moving through sunlight with a calm, wood-backed sweetness.
