Our take

Cloves and cassis hit first, sharp and slightly medicinal, with a peach note that smells more like syrup than fruit. The opening feels crowded, as if every element arrived at once and none of them stepped back. Ylang-ylang and tuberose push through quickly, heavy and waxy, while galbanum tries to cut the density with a green edge that never quite clears the air. It is a lot to take in at once, and the balance leans toward excess rather than ease.

The room is a wood-paneled library in late afternoon, sunlight catching dust motes above a table where someone has set a bowl of mandarins next to a burning stick of incense. Sandalwood and amber settle into the upholstery while vanilla softens the sharper edges of the smoke. Oakmoss adds a cool, earthy shadow beneath the white petals that keep unfolding in the heat. It suits a person who enjoys a fragrance that fills the space around them, not one that waits for permission.
