Fragrance notes
Character
Bergamot and lemon provide a bright, immediate opening that feels clean and direct. White ginger adds a slight warmth to the citrus, while star anise introduces a gentle, peppery lift. The combination is sharp without becoming aggressive.
Rosemary and basil take over with a green, kitchen-herb character that feels very natural. Lavender sits underneath, softening the sharper edges of the herbs. The heart is dry and savory rather than sweet.
Sandalwood and cedar form a smooth, dry foundation that supports the sharper vetiver and guaiac wood. Patchouli adds a dark, earthy depth to the base. The woods feel polished and refined, never dirty or overpowering.
The entire composition feels suited to a sunlit office or a morning walk through a city street. It carries a crisp, professional energy that pairs well with linen and open windows. Jean-Charles Niel built a scent that smells like a wooden desk placed in a room filled with morning light.
