Character
The courtyard is quiet after the sun dips, stone walls still holding the day's warmth. Raspberry and lemon brighten the opening, a tart shimmer that pink pepper sharpens immediately. Saffron and cinnamon arrive fast, wrapping the fruit in a dry, golden heat. Rose and iris sit beneath that spice, soft and powdery, never loud enough to turn the blend floral. Leather rises from the base, smooth and resinous, bolstered by sandalwood and amber. Tobacco adds a dark, slightly sweet leafiness, while vetiver grounds the mix with an earthy, bitter edge. Musk lingers in the background, rounding the sharper edges without cleaning them up.
The composition sits close to the skin, which suits the intimate setting, but the raspberry can read a bit candied against the dry leather. That sweetness feels slightly out of step with the rugged base, making the opening read more like confection than spice. The iris helps, yet the fruit still leans sugary when the air cools. It is a beautiful contrast, though the balance tips toward the gourmand more than the leather promises.
