Cherry Syrup
Fragrance notes
Character
Cherry Syrup opens with a boozy, spiced rush, cherry and rum colliding with saffron’s leathery warmth and nutmeg’s grit. It feels like cracking open a jar of preserved fruit in a dark, wood-paneled bar. The heart softens into cinnamon-laced florals, jasmine and rose adding a dusky elegance that keeps the sweetness from tipping into candy. Then comes the drydown: a dense, resiny blanket of vanilla, tonka, ambroxan, and oak, layered with patchouli and cypress like a sticky bark clinging to your coat.
This isn’t a shy scent. With longevity just over four hours and moderate sillage, it sits close enough to feel intimate but lingers long enough to demand attention. The overall impression is a warm, powdery cherry compote studded with wood splinters, rich and slightly synthetic in the best way, leaning niche without being avant-garde. It thrives in winter and fall, pulling 97 and 82 percent of votes respectively, and works better for nighttime or overcast days. A cold-weather gourmand for those who want to smell edible but not childish.
Skip it if you despise sweet fragrances or live somewhere warm, because 57 percent of spring wearers still found it cloying. Who should wear it? Someone who wants to feel like they’ve been drinking mulled wine by a fireplace, with a cherry stem tucked behind their ear.
