Our take

Marmara opens with a bright mix of bergamot, lemon, lavender, and basil. The citrus provides an immediate lift, while the lavender and basil add a green, herbal edge that keeps the start from feeling like a simple fruit bowl. It is a crisp entrance that feels clean and upright.

The heart introduces carnation and violet. The carnation brings a clove-like spiciness that sits comfortably beside the floral softness of the violet. Together they create a middle phase that is powdery but still touched by the green herbs from the opening.

Cedar, labdanum, musk, heliotrope, and moss form the base. The cedar and moss keep the foundation dry and woody, while the labdanum and heliotrope add a gentle amber warmth. Musk smooths the transition and helps the green and spicy elements linger on the skin.

A walk through a garden while the morning sun is still low, when the air is cool enough to feel the herbs clearly and the first light makes every green stem visible.
