Citrus and sweet pea open My Burberry with a bright, slightly candied freshness, before quince and peach round things out with a soft, fuzzy fruitiness through the heart. It holds its ground well, showing solid persistence once the top notes settle, and the sillage forms a soft, personal cloud, picked up easily by whoever's nearby. Rose dominates the drydown, backed by a surprising touch of leather that adds grain and a little edge beneath all that fruit and rose. Passionfruit and grapefruit keep surfacing faintly through the middle, a tart counterpoint to all that quince and peach.
Francis Kurkdjian handled the composition, and the rose here reads as a modern, fruit-forward take on a classic English garden rose, green and fresh rather than powdery or old-fashioned. Violet and geranium add a slightly cool, leafy edge through the middle, cutting the sweetness with something greener and more restrained. It works well for office mornings and weekend errands nearly any time of year, especially into fall when the rose and leather in the base have more room to stand out against cooler air. This reads as approachable and pretty, a dependable rose without too much drama or complexity.
