Our take

Peach and pink pepper meet at the top of Play For Her, fruit and spice crossing paths before orange blossom and sweet pea round the opening into something softer. Orchid and tiare flower carry the heart, tropical without being heavy, and magnolia adds a clean lift alongside them. Its hold on skin sits in the middle range, neither brief nor especially tenacious, and it builds a modest cloud around the wearer, present for anyone within easy reach and no one much beyond that. Amyris threads a light woodiness through the florals, giving the sweetness somewhere to rest.

Tonka bean and benzoin warm the base considerably, patchouli and sandalwood adding a soft woodiness underneath the florals. Musk ties the whole structure together, giving the drydown a clean, powdery finish. None of the base notes push especially hard, which is part of why the whole thing reads as easygoing and unhurried.

Spring is where the fruit and orange blossom show best, though the mild seasonal spread means it holds up reasonably well through most of the year without ever turning heavy. Anyone who wants a fruity floral that leans soft rather than saccharine should get along well with Play For Her, easy to wear from a spring morning through a casual weekend without demanding much attention.
