Our take

Pink grapefruit and lemon provide a sharp, bright entry that cuts through the humid air of a garden path in the late morning. Fig adds a rounded, green fleshiness that keeps the citrus from feeling like a cleaning product. Black currant gives the top a slight jammy depth. The heart is a massive, humid wall of white petals. Tuberose and ylang-ylang dominate with a heavy creaminess, while jasmine and narcissus add a slightly indolic, sun-warmed quality. Sea salt and seaweed attempt to introduce a coastal breeze, but they are completely overpowered by the sheer volume of the flowers. Violet leaf offers a brief, crisp snap before the champaca and rose pull the scent back into a dense, syrupy sweetness.

The base settles into a very traditional, slightly dated powder. White musk and amber combine with vanilla to create a soft, lingering cloud that feels more like a vintage cosmetic counter than a modern niche release. Sandalwood and cedar provide a faint, dry backbone, but they struggle to emerge through the sugary musk. The floral intensity from the heart never really fades; it just becomes coated in this talcum-like sweetness. It is a heavy, opulent composition that can easily feel suffocating on a warm afternoon. The sheer density of the white florals paired with the powdery base makes it a difficult wear for anyone who prefers clean, transparent scents.
