Emaan
Fragrance notes
Character
Emaan opens with a bright, almost sticky burst of orange blossom and black currant, the fruit lending a jammy edge to the citrusy bergamot. It feels like stepping into a sunlit greenhouse where tuberose and jasmine are already heavy in the air, their creamy white floral pulse softened by a hint of marigold’s green bite. The heart is lush and unmistakably feminine, but there’s a restraint here that keeps it from tipping into cloying territory. As it settles, the base emerges: a whisper of musk and vanilla warmed by cedarwood and a faint, clean patchouli. This is not a rich, dark chypre in the classic sense, but rather a polished, modern one that wears like a linen blouse dusted with pollen, a little floral, a little woody, a little sweet.
Lattafa keeps the sillage close to the skin, which is both a strength and a frustration. You’ll catch wafts for the first couple of hours, then it fades into a soft personal scent that lasts a modest three to four hours. It suits a spring morning, a brunch date, a day at the office where you want to smell pretty without announcing yourself from three desks away. Skip it if you demand beast-mode projection or crave darker, spicier florals. It is a daytime creature, light and unassuming, and that is exactly its charm.
