Fragrance notes
Character
Saffron and pink pepper hit first, bright and metallic over a heap of crushed cardamom and nutmeg. Black pepper adds a sharp bite that keeps the opening from feeling polished. Lavender enters soon after, soft and clean, with a slice of apple that lifts the spice into something lighter before the heavier materials take hold.
Amber and vanilla build a thick, golden base beneath the lavender, while tonka bean rounds the edges into a smooth sweetness. Leather and tobacco bring a dry, dusty weight that grounds the blend, and sandalwood and cedar give the wood a creamy, resinous texture. The result feels like standing near a fireplace in a room filled with old books and polished wood, warm and slightly imposing.
The spice never fully settles. The pepper and saffron continue to prickle against the vanilla, creating a friction that some will find restless rather than harmonious. It is a dense composition that asks for patience and a preference for heavy, sweet warmth over clarity.
