Fiori di Neroli
Fragrance notes
Character
Fiori di Neroli opens with a sharp, almost metallic burst of petitgrain and green mandarin—less a sunny citrus grove, more the sting of a freshly snapped twig. Bergamot softens the edges, but this is no sweet Italian fantasy. The heart quickly blooms into orange blossom and neroli, dense and honeyed, with jasmine sambac adding a slightly indolic warmth that keeps the composition from veering into soapy territory. Then comes the quiet surprise: cereals and Virginia cedar, a dry, almost dusty base that grounds the florals in something close to a warm morning kitchen. The Orcanox™ gives a faint, synthetic shimmer, but it’s more whisper than shout.
The overall character is a dewy, slightly melancholic white floral—imagine a linen shirt left on the terrace overnight, collecting dew and the ghost of jasmine from a neighbor’s garden. It’s naturalistic in its green bitterness, neither syrupy nor aggressively clean. But here’s the catch: sillage is a modest 2.43, longevity just above three hours. This fragrance stays close, like a secret you almost forget you’re wearing. It demands reapplication, and for the price point, that stings.
Who should wear it? Anyone who prefers their florals introspective, not booming—ideal for a spring morning walk or a cool summer evening when you want to smell elegant without announcing your arrival from across the room. Skip it if you need projection that survives a commute or if you find orange blossom too powdery. This is a gardenia petal pressed into a book: beautiful, but you have to lean in to see it.
