Rosemary and pineapple make an unlikely pair at the top of Chrome, herbal and faintly tropical at once, with lemon, bergamot and neroli keeping the citrus loud and clean. Neroli and pineapple keep trading the top's attention with rosemary, so the opening reads more herbal than sweet in the first moments before settling down. The sillage forms a modest cloud that keeps to your immediate space, and it wears at a steady, unhurried pace once the fruit calms down.
Jasmine and cyclamen bring a light floral touch to the heart, while oakmoss and coriander add a mossy, slightly bitter note underneath. The oakmoss appears twice in the formula, first partway through and then again toward the finish, which is likely why its mossy signature never really leaves the composition. By the base, cedar, sandalwood and Brazilian rosewood turn the whole thing woody and dry, with cardamom and tonka bean adding a last trace of spice and warmth.
It reads as an easy, warm-weather scent, best suited to spring and summer days. Rosemary is the note that keeps resurfacing, an herbal thread running under all the citrus and wood that come after it in the composition.
