Character
The sun has just gone down over a garden patio in early spring. A terracotta bowl holds mandarin peels and crushed pink pepper, their bright, citrusy sting still sharp in the cool air. Petitgrain adds a green, clean edge to the scene, but the evening is already shifting. A handful of toasted marshmallows rests near a cup of orange blossom tea, the fluffy sweetness rising gently beside a thread of saffron that glows like the last light on the stone walls.
The air grows heavier as the night settles. Marshmallow and orange blossom fold together, soft and powdery, while saffron deepens the warmth. Oakmoss creeps in from the damp earth below the table, its mossy, earthy character grounding the sugar. White musk and patchouli add a woody, musky weight, and then the resins arrive. Incense curls upward, opoponax spreads a golden, balsamic richness, and myrrh holds it all with a warm, amber depth.
This is a fragrance built from contrasts that feel natural in the moment. The citrus and spice of the opening belong to the fading day, while the sweet, mossy, earthy heart and base belong to the night. It is a balsamic, warm spicy scent that feels at home in a space where stone meets soil and the air turns cold.
The final impression is a mix of myrrh and oakmoss, resinous and green, with a soft musky trail that lingers in the quiet garden.
