The opening hits with tobacco and coffee, darkened by cacao and a heap of dried fruits and almond. It smells rich and sticky, like a heavily sweetened beverage spilled on old leather upholstery. The heart brings whiskey and immortelle, adding a resinous depth that pushes the scent further into gourmand territory while the jasmine and rose try to offer a floral lift that gets swallowed by the weight.
The base is a massive collection of animalic materials. Castoreum, civet, hyrax, and muskrato mingle with patchouli and ambergris to create a fur-like warmth that feels primal and dense.
