Raunds
Fragrance notes
Raunds opens with a sharp citrus mix. Lemon, lime, bergamot and grapefruit hit at once, bright and brisk. Artemisia adds a bitter herbal edge that keeps the fruit from leaning sweet.
Lavender and coriander lead the heart. Geranium and jasmine sit behind them, soft and slightly powdery from the coumarin. Patchouli brings a dark, earthy weight that pulls the freshness down.
The base is dense. Oakmoss and civet create a deep, slightly animalic foundation. Vetiver and balsam fir add dry green wood, while sandalwood, cedar and musk smooth the edges into a warm, balsamic finish.
Raunds feels like an old wool coat stored in a cedar chest with dried herbs tucked into the pockets.
