The carnation in the heart leans dry and clove-like, which can make the surrounding white petals feel a little stiff if your skin runs cool. It is not a soft, pillowy lily, and the ylang-ylang does not melt the edges the way it often does in similar bouquets.
Bergamot and mandarin orange lead the first minutes with a bright, slightly tart citrus that feels like a sunlit courtyard in the middle of the day. The pink pepper adds a quick, sparkling bite that keeps the opening from settling into something flat or overly polished.
Tiare flower and jasmine carry most of the weight once the citrus steps back. The vanilla in the base is present but restrained, sitting underneath the musk and ambergris rather than coating them. Patchouli gives the lower half a faint earthy tug that stops the sweetness from floating away completely.
