Our take

Beautiful Love opens with a bright, almost juicy jolt of mango and pink pepper, the freesia and ivy keeping things from tipping into full tropical cliché. It’s a surprisingly fizzy start, like biting into a ripe fruit salad while standing in a greenhouse. That effervescence quickly gets swallowed by a dense white floral heart: tuberose and Tahitian tiare take center stage, with jasmine and osmanthus adding a honeyed, slightly leathery edge. The rose and carnation here feel plush rather than sharp, and the black violet lends a faint, cool purple undertone. As it dries down, the base turns powdery, almost cozy, with heliotrope, orris root, and cashmere wood wrapping the florals in a soft blanket of vanilla-tinged earthiness. Oakmoss and patchouli keep the sweetness from going sticky, but the whole composition lands closer to a department store classic than a niche experiment. The projection is polite, the longevity moderate, and it feels best suited to a spring afternoon or a sunny autumn lunch. This fragrance is an homage to the opulent, fleshy white floral of the 2000s. Fans of that era’s unabashed femininity will find comfort here; those who prefer crisp, modern minimalism should walk past. It’s a crowded garden party where someone’s mango smoothie has splashed onto a borrowed mink stole. Is that a problem? Only if you came looking for a straight line.
