Our take

Kawkab opens with a bright, juicy mango that feels sun-warmed and lush. Saffron sits beside it, adding a dry, metallic edge that keeps the fruit from becoming a simple candy. Pink pepper and bergamot bring a sharp citrus lift that cuts through the sweetness. Rose and orange blossom float above the opening, soft and slightly soapy, while peony adds a clean floral whisper. The first impression is colorful and busy, with each note pushing forward at once.

Amber and Turkish rose form a thick, resinous heart. Black tea introduces a mild bitterness that grounds the floral sweetness. Iris adds a powdery, root-like texture that makes the center feel slightly dusty and elegant. Saffron returns here, now deeper and more woven into the resin than it was at the start. The transition feels heavy rather than airy, moving from bright fruit to a warm, spiced floral core.

Tonka bean and oud anchor the base with a dark, woody depth. Guaiac wood and cedar provide a dry, polished timber note. Patchouli and cypriol add an earthy, slightly damp soil character. Musk smooths the edges without making the blend feel clean. The overall impression is amber, tropical, sweet, fruity, oud, vanilla, woody, warm spicy, powdery, and earthy.
