Patchouli
Fragrance notes
Character
Jouri Patchouli opens with a burst of plum, peach, pineapple, and black currant, brightened by bergamot, lime, and aldehydes. Violet leaves and balsam fir add a cool, green edge to the fruit. The effect is sweet and juicy at first, with a slight sparkle from the aldehydes that keeps the opening from feeling heavy.
The heart brings jasmine, rose, geranium, lily-of-the-valley, and ylang-ylang. These white florals sit close to the fruit and do not take over. The flowers add a soft, slightly powdery layer that bridges the bright top to the darker base. Geranium and ylang-ylang give the floral mix a mild spicy touch.
Patchouli leads the base, supported by oakmoss, vetiver, cypriol, vanilla, and leather. The earthy, woody patchouli is deep and dry, with the vanilla rounding the edges and the leather adding a firm, slightly rough texture. Oakmoss and vetiver keep the finish mossy and aromatic. The overall feel is warm and dense, suited to a cold day with a coat on, and fits someone who wants a strong earthy scent with clear fruit and floral layers.
