IBERIA
Fragrance notes
Artenisia IBERIA opens with coriander, bergamot, geranium and rosemary. The herbs are bright and slightly peppery, with the bergamot adding a clean lift. This introduction is brief and moves quickly into the middle, where the composition expands into a dense floral and spice blend. Lily-of-the-valley, osmanthus, jasmine, rose and iris sit alongside cinnamon, saffron and cloves. The spices are warm but not sharp, and the flowers keep the heart soft rather than heavy.
The base defines the fragrance. Sandalwood, cedar, vetiver, oak, oud, balsam fir and patchouli create a deep woody foundation. Leather adds a dry, textured edge, while vanilla, amber and musk soften the woods with a gentle sweetness. The powdery accord comes through here as the iris and rose settle into the resins and balsam fir. The oud is present without dominating, and the patchouli grounds the blend with an earthy tone.
The overall character is woody, aromatic and warm spicy, with fresh spicy and powdery facets supporting the white floral and floral notes. Rose and leather sit clearly in the mix, giving the scent a structured feel. The vanilla and amber keep the drydown smooth, while the cedar and sandalwood carry the woody accord to the end.
