Erotic

Character
Erotic by Franck Boclet opens with a sharp slap of rosemary and basil, citrus barely cutting through the green. This is not a polite invitation. Within minutes the heart turns dense, tuberose and benzoin smothering the aromatic start, cardamom and patchouli adding a dusty, powdery sweetness. The dry down is where it earns its name: a leathery, animalic base of castoreum, civet, and opoponax, vanilla and incense clinging to you like a second skin that someone else has already sweated into.
The overall character is a crushed velvet chaise lounge in a dimly lit Parisian hotel room, upholstered by a chain-smoking dominatrix. It is heavy, balsamic, and deliberately synthetic in its amber-plastic warmth, more niche than mainstream but not avant-garde enough to alienate. Longevity is solid at nearly four hours, though sillage stays intimate, a whisper not a shout. Best suited for autumn or winter nights when you want to smell like you have secrets, not for daytime errands or anyone who dislikes vintage leather and animalic musk. Skip it if you prefer fresh laundry or clean citrus. Wear it to a dinner where you plan to leave first. One rhetorical question: who else would wear something this unapologetically carnal? 🔥
