Gharbi
Fragrance notes
Character
Gharbi opens with a dense mix of apple, plum, strawberry, pineapple, peach, melon, bergamot, lemon and mandarin orange. The fruit is bright and sugary, with the citrus edges keeping the sweetness from becoming flat. Jasmine, lavender, iris, lily-of-the-valley, orchid, heliotrope and ylang-ylang follow closely, layering white floral and powdery tones over the fruit. The heart feels soft and slightly soapy, with heliotrope adding a gentle almond-like roundness and iris contributing a dry, root-like texture that steadies the petals.
The base brings ambergris, sandalwood, tonka bean, vanilla, leather, white musk and cedar. Vanilla and tonka carry the sugar forward, while sandalwood and cedar add smooth wood. Leather gives a faintly dry, slightly rugged edge that sits beneath the powder and musk. The overall impression is fruity, sweet, powdery and woody all at once, with citrus and white floral accents running through the middle. It suits cooler days and evening wear, and it appeals to anyone who enjoys floral fruity compositions built on a sweet, vanilla-heavy foundation with a mild leather
