Masae Aida no Tebukuro
Fragrance notes
Character
Masae Aida no Tebukuro opens with a bright, fizzy burst of aldehydes and lemon. The citrus feels sharp and clean. Black pepper adds a dry sting that cuts through the initial sweetness. Raspberry and blackberry provide a tart fruitiness that does not lean into candy. Hazelnut gives the entrance a slightly bitter, nutty edge.
The heart turns dense and resinous. Honey coats the florals with a thick, golden weight. Tobacco and immortelle introduce a hay-like, herbal warmth. Violet leaf brings a cool, green touch that keeps the middle from becoming too heavy. Jasmine and tuberose sit in the background, adding volume rather than clear petals.
The base is a dark, textured blend of birch tar and leather. Castoreum and civet create a distinct animalic presence that feels raw and untamed. Oud and oakmoss ground the composition with earthy, woody depth. Labdanum and myrrh add a sticky, incense-like resin quality that lingers in the air.
Picture a dimly lit study where rain taps against the windowpane, a heavy wool coat hangs near a crackling fireplace, and the air smells of old books, warm resin, and worn leather gloves.
